When we were in grade school, I had the biggest crush on Danny Haynes. I remember one summer me and Chris Hawley new it was Danny’s birthday, one day before mine. We wrapped up a clay or ceramic object and walked to his house to deliver what I’m sure was a beautiful package! We were all excited and nervous walking up to the door when come to find out, he wasn’t home! Oh, our disappointment. I told this story to Dan a few weeks ago and he remembered it and said he was next door playing at Brian Tegen’s house. I said to him, playing or actually hiding from us? hee hee.
