This is Bob's Mom! Oh, how I remember the talent show! That was so much fun. I remember you all practicing down my basement then Bob's Dad would come home, go down and re-tune the guitars! I heard you all getting better and better and even tho parents weren't supposed to be at the show itself, there was no way was I going to miss that after all I put up with. So I snuck in the back door to listen. You had actually all sounded better than the real thing but I don't think anyone cared. They all loved it!!!
Bob, unfortunately, because of the brain damage, doesn't remember the event. He does tho, remember all the names and places and does remember you when your name was mentioned.
He stayed with music although a little later. Because DuWayne had drums he played those till he got pretty good. Then bought himself a set and got pretty good at drumming. Ended up with a couple of bands although I don't remember the names other than Christy Flory vocalist who was his brother Chuck's wife.
He bought a guitar and started learning that and when he moved to CA he found a fellow to teach him more and got pretty good at it.Oh, he started singing also and, surprisingly enough, wasn't too bad at that either. We are fortunate to have one tape of him singing and playing the guitar with 4 songs on it.
He still loves music and listens to all the old stuff. I have no idea why he listens to AC/DC the most as Chuck says that wasn't his favorite back then. I will show him your post and picture when I see him next. I['m aking him to the picnic on Sunday and he's very excited.
This web site has been great for him, wish there were more on here. Wish there were more coming to the picnic on Sunday but it's been great seeing what happened to everyone.
